R. Corey Booth
Chief Information Officer, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission

Booth oversees the agencywide information technology program at the Securities and Exchange Commission. He has been at the SEC since January 2004 and since then has undertaken a large-scale effort to further the agency’s mission through technology and help the IT organization deliver more effectively. As the capital markets continue to rapidly expand in size and complexity, the SEC is continually pressed to keep pace, to conduct its reviews, examinations, and investigations more efficiently and effectively and to assist both internal staff and private sector investors in their securities market activities. Within the IT function, Booth’s strategic priorities include leveraging interactive data to improveinformation flow regarding registered companies, improving the agency’s ability to conduct legal discovery and examinations, automating internal business processes and improving IT management processes, such as information security and project management.

Prior to joining the SEC, he was a consultant with McKinsey and Company, a global strategic consulting firm, where he was a leader in the banking and securities and information technology practices. Booth has an MBA from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in economics and English literature from Washington University in St. Louis.

 

Mark Schnitzer
Executive Director, Morgan Stanley

Schnitzer manages data strategies for the ModelWarebusiness. He has served in several leadership positions with XBRL International and XBRL-US since 1999.

Schnitzer was the Founder and President of FreeEDGAR, which he sold to EDGAR Online in 1998. He was a distressed securities analyst at Dabney/Resnick and Wagner and an investment banker at Bear Stearns prior to founding FreeEDGAR.

Willis has more than 25 years of accounting experience and is a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers. He served as the Founding Chairman of XBRL International (http://www.xbrl.org), which is currently composed of more than 450 leading software, accounting and finance companies from 26 countries around the world.

Willis has served in a number of roles within the XBRL communityand currently serves on the International Steering Committee and the US Jurisdictional Steering Committee.He also serves on the Enhanced Business Reporting Consortium, a market based consortium, (http://www.ebr360.org) formed to facilitate development of international business reporting standards. Willis speaks frequently and publishes papers on the topic of business reporting and has been interviewed by a range of business media on the topic of a more efficient business reporting supply chain, including the Financial Times, BusinessWeek, Wall Street & Technology, CFO and CIO.
