NEEDHAM, Mass., February 26, 2001 - PTC (Nasdaq: PMTC), the product development company, today announced that it has reached an agreement with Zweave, Inc., the first collaborative product commerce platform for the apparel industry, to use PTC's software and implementation services. The Windchill ProjectLink solution (see related release today http://www.ptc.com) allows Zweave to offer its fashion design clients quick and efficient access to PTC's industry leading collaborative product commerce solutions. The software was shipped during PTC's second fiscal quarter (ending March 31, 2001).
Zweave, headquartered in New York City, is a technology-based services provider for the global fashion, apparel and soft goods industries providing product development collaboration capabilities to organizations in the fashion industry. With this agreement, Zweave customers, which include fashion designers, retailers and manufacturers, will use Windchill ProjectLink to collaborate with its matrix of business partners in pre-production activities, thereby shortening design cycles and improving the management of time-critical communications between trading partners.
